Wedding Dress Shopping

Celeste, my daughter has now been my life for the last 5 weeks, and already I wonder what life was like before this sweet bundle of joy was placed in our arms, thousands of miles away last month, forever a family.

Life has started to revolve around nap-time, night-time and every day activities as necessary.

One special occassion we are working towards is Celeste's baptism. As a new Dad, I thought it might be years before Celeste would ever have me in a wedding shop. Although a one-year old, who is very tall does not fit into the traditional baptism gown, we have explored options.

Our trip to the Wedding Dress shop had Celeste try on two dresses, one was more a flower girl dress, and swamped her in the yards of fabric. But the smile she showed when she was all zipped up and standing in front of a dressing mirror was enough to make my heart melt.

Daddy's little girl, yes. Quilty as charged.

Did we get the dress, no, there is a far better traditional option available to us.
