It was one of those odd situations I found myself in yesterday.
I attended a Volunteer Fair at the National Constitution Center in Philadelphia, a beautiful building with a stunning view of Independence Mall, including the home of the Liberty Bell and and Indepdence Hall. The table reserved for the Multiple Sclerosis Association of America, was front and center line through one of the most historic sites in America.
A video wall to my right played 24-hour news to those assembled and through the day I watched, without sound but through reading the scrolling information of the tale of the whale in the River Thames in London.
This was a first, since records began of a whale being found so far upriver. It amused me that the London Aquarium along the south bank of the river was not called upon more for comment in the rescue of the whale.
Despite the best efforts of many well wishers and experts. The whale died through good intentions. A sad end to an amazing story.
