It has been a couple of days since the world heard of the announcement of a royal wedding between HRH The Prince of Wales and Mrs. Camilla Parker-Bowles. Much has been aired and written on this subject, many in favour of the wedding, others vermentaly against this royal union. London Chimes sits somewhat precariously atop a metaphoric wooden fence that is painful from the splinters of opinion.
Fact: The constitution surrounding the royal family and the standing of the monach as the head of the Anglian church is being amended. We are witnessing a moment in history that the following line of ascent History, particually royal-history pomp and circumstance, in the twenty-first century is beyond a world away from the King Edward and Mrs. Simpson royal scandal in the 30's.
Great Britain has changed, the moral high-ground and the royal family placed as the pefect family has as the country and world has witnessed in a most public forum to the point of public entertainment as some rude soap opera.
Interest in this wedding will gather momentum for any number of reasons in the coming weeks.
As will interest in the arguments surrounding succession to the throne and the head of the Church of England.
