As a Philly blogger I cannot let today pass without posting on the Superbowl.
As a Brit' I cannot fully understand the complexities of the game, yet through this season I have been glued to my radio 1210AM the Big Talker every game morning to hear Sal give his prediction and his record of now just picking the winner but also the final spread of points is uncanny.
Sal predicts: Eagles 29 - Patriots 26, with a heck of a lot of field goals in the game and but he does not want to be held to this, the possibility of the game heading into extra time, a first for the Superbowl ever, with the win secured by a field goal.
Philadelphia Eagles have come oh-so-close to appearing in the superbowl since my arrival in the US, that I am delighted Andy Reid's team have made it after a phenominal season from the team.
This scoreline does depend upon the fitness of T.O. and at the 12th hour this is not totally known, will he play, he says he will, against doctors orders, but this is the superbowl and I expect him on the field. How effective he will be - who knows, but if he is fully fit and working with Donovan McNabb the eagles will surely fly to victory.
T.O. is the lynch pin, if he is injured and does not impact the game pulling points into the bank, I fear for a really close game that will be won by the Patriots (24-23). Either way this is going to be one heck of a close game. But heck, I don't understand the game so how on earth can I truly predict the Patriots. I am with Sal and I say.
E-A-G-L-E-S, Go EAGLES!
Philly needs a great party, give them one.
